Every iron has a different job
With your long irons, you want easier launch and lots of ball speed. While mid- and short irons are about consistent spin and launch for shot-making into the green. So it makes sense that each face should have a different design. That’s exactly what Callaway have done with their new MAVRIK Irons, and – in a first for golf – they’ve used A.I. to do it.
Callaway used machine learning to give every loft a different face thickness. That enables every club to do its specific job more effectively. This is incredible design complexity with a simple outcome, a better golfing experience for you.
The MAVRIK Iron lofts are stronger, but because of the technology that makes them easier to launch with high ball speed, the stronger lofts don’t flatten out the trajectory. So you’re getting added distance, with your preferred ball flight. It’s a win-win.
How you get more consistency
The Tungsten Energy Core positions weight differently for each loft. It’s lower in the long irons for easier launch. While in the short irons, it’s a bit higher to work better with increased loft and to control spin rate.
Better feel and sound
The tungsten weights are held in place by a Urethane Microsphere that is injected into the head in liquid form before it sets. This material does more than suspend the weights. It dampens vibrations for better feel and sound at impact.
Hitting longer, straighter, more consistent iron shots adds joy while shaving shots from your scorecard. If you’re interested in finding out, then when we next see you, let’s talk about it, or
